Duxday
Come along on Saturday 11 July, 2–5pm at Duxford Community Centre
Meet all your local clubs and societies – 23 groups already confirmed, the range of activities on offer proves that Duxford has something for everyone.
Car boot sale update –pitches are £15 each. There are still spaces available, so if you’d like to clear out some clutter or sell a few treasures, please email us to secure your spot.
Find out how you can get creative and connected – Come and see the fantastic work from Duxford Art Group, Duxford in Stitches, the Scrapbooking Group and the WI. And the Saturday Music Workshop team will be on hand to help you take the first step to learn an instrument.
Interested in roots, history and heritage – Learn how to support local green spaces with the Friends of Green Spaces and the Duxford History Society will be sharing insights into village life over the years. You can also find out more about St Peter’s and St John’s through the Friends of Duxford Churches.
Growing up in Duxford – Meet Tiddles, the Parent & Baby Group, and the Creation Station for early years activities. Looking ahead, Pre-school, DX (our after-school club) and Duxford Youth Club will be available to share what they offer for older children and teenagers.
Sports, fitness and fast races – Try Regenerate Yoga for balance and flexibility, or find out more about Let’s Run Girls, who meet every Sunday morning at 8:30am. The tennis and bowls clubs are also keen to welcome new members. For something a little faster paced, the Soapbox Derby team will be signing up brave racers for this year’s event.
Village icons and big plans – We’re delighted to host the Chatterbox team and meet the Duxfest 2027 organisers, who will be looking for volunteers.
Entry and Children’s entertainment are completely free, including face painting, the Gladiator Duel, Nerf range, football cage and Beat the Goalie challenge. Many groups will also be running their own fundraisers. Plus, Cafe 19 and Saffron Ice Cream will be selling treats, and we’ll be running a refreshments stall to keep you cooled down.
Events like this rely on local volunteers so if you have time to spare we’d love to hear from you.
